Abstract
The research examines the foundational principles of ICS design, including
requirements analysis, system architecture, and network topology, laying the
groundwork for understanding the intricate interplay of these elements. It then
dives into the practical applications of various modeling methodologies,
showcasing how these techniques are used to analyze network performance,
identify potential bottlenecks, optimize traffic flow, and assess security
vulnerabilities. Furthermore, the study explores the impact of emerging
technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) on
network design and modeling. It examines how these advancements are
transforming the field, offering automated solutions for network optimization,
anomaly detection, and capacity planning, while also highlighting the associated
ethical considerations.
